AIRPORT/TRAVEL INFORMATION

Q:
What are the arrival and departure dates for students?
A: You should arrive at Clark Atlanta University no earlier than Saturday, June 7th, 2008 and no later than Sunday, June 8th, 2008. If your intentions are to arrive earlier than Saturday, June 7th, 2008 and or stay over additional nights after Saturday, June 14th, 2008, you must make hotel arrangements, as extended stay on campus is not available.
 
Q: Is transportation provided?
A: You are responsible for transportation to and from the Airport and the University.

Q:
How far away is the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport / ATL?
A: The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is approximately 11.65 miles from Clark Atlanta University. Allow at least 1-1 ½ hours to get thru the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport rush hour.

Q: Should I rent a car?
A: It is not necessary to rent a car as the University is equipped with all the necessary amenities available to you during your stay.  However, if you intend on touring some of the sites of the City it might be good idea to have transportation.

ACCOMMODATIONS/FOOD

Q: What accommodations are provided during my stay?
A: Lodging will be provided in the form of university residences from Saturday, June 7th, 2008 thru Friday, June 13th, 2008. You must be checked out of your room by noon Saturday, June 14th, 2008. A deposit in the amount of $20.00 will be required for your room key.  The deposit will be returned to you once the key is returned

Q: I'm from the Atlanta area. Should I still stay on campus?
A: It is not necessary to stay on campus. Staying on campus is an added convenience. If you decide to stay off campus, you will only be responsible for half of the regular tuition fee.

Q: Which hotel do you recommend? How do I contact them?

Q: Are all meals provided?
A: Food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and lodging will be provided from Saturday, June 7th, 2008 thru Friday, June 13th, 2008. Only breakfast will be provided on Saturday, June 14th, 2008.
